This Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) sanctioned event, with a beer tent featuring Michigan craft brews, is one of almost 300 barbeque contests that take place throughout America – and for the second year, Lowell is one of those stops! As the world’s largest organization of barbeque and grilling enthusiasts, the KCBS and LACC invite you to join the contest and show-off your BBQ skills.
The contest is broken down into four categories: chicken, ribs, pork butt, and brisket – compete in one or all four! The Grand Prize Winner will receive $1500 and cash prizes will be paid through 5th Place. To participate, you must submit an entrance form along with a $200 ($225 after June 1, 2010) entrance fee to the LACC.
